Cloud Agnostic Data Catalog
The Cloud Data Catalog of Kloud Klick provides all the essential capabilities required for managing a cloud platform. The Catalog provides details of all the entities from different tenants. In Kloud Klick the data is managed at three different levels : Tenant, Storage and Entity.
Tenant
Tenants are the location on which the data is managed. Like on-prem, cloud AWS, Azure or third-party cloud or private cloud.
Storage
Storages define the type of storage the data is organized and stored. Like object storages - S3, Blob or RDMBS so on.
Entity
The entity is the details of data grouping like the tables in the databases or the details of the object storage like S3 on AWS or storage container names in Azure.
Scanning - Explore your Source Data
Kloud klick platform will scan the source to capture the entity level details. The platform has in-build connector to most databases and cloud storages. Kloud klick also scan any unstructured data entities like document store to create a catalog.
Metadata - Know your Source Data
The catalog will capture and store the metadata for a given entity. In a source RDBMS database, the complete list of tables and corresponding columns will be stored. The catalog provides additional insights into the unique identifiers in the case of RDBMS Databases.
Data gating - Control on what you want to move
Once the entities are scanned and the metadata details are captured, the end user can explore the entities and decide on which entities are required to be migrated or processed. This gating function allows customers to migrate only the required entities. There might be source applications having application functional data or configurations which are not required. This gating can be controlled at each entity level. This function applies to both cold and hot data pipelines.
Data Auditing and Trails
The end data consumer will get a full audit trail of the data journey from source to target. Kloud Klick platform provides complete trails and audits for the entities at the catalog level. The user can view the complete list of trails of the entities on the catalog screen.
The end user can use the data in complete confidence knowing how recent and updated information .
